The Incubate team returned to Boston this week for BIO 2025 to engage with leaders across the biotech industry. The BIO International Convention provides a unique platform to explore the future of life sciences, influence policy conversations, and forge new partnerships.
This year, Incubate launched a new initiative: Incubate Shorts, a series of fast-paced, informal interviews conducted on the ground at the convention. These short videos highlight the people and ideas shaping the future of medicine across the country.
In addition to its video showcase, Incubate contributed to key policy discussions at BIO. Our executive director John Stanford spoke on a panel about the evolving policy landscape and its impact on drug development, alongside Paul Hueseman of AstraZeneca, Lisa Schlager of FORCE, Russ Paulsen of UsAgainstAlzheimer's, and Steve Usdin of BioCentury. John also met with leading national journalists -- including from the Wall Street Journal, MIT Technology Review, Fierce Biotech, Endpoints News, and more -- to offer his insights on current health policy news.
Incubate placed a full-page advertisement in the Boston Globe for the duration of the conference to spotlight the urgent need to end the pill penalty and pass the bipartisan EPIC Act -- legislation essential to restoring small molecule innovation.
