Incubate Heads to Cape Cod for Convergence Forum 2025

This week, Incubate returns to Cape Cod to attend the annual Convergence Forum for leaders in healthcare innovation. Convergence brings together life sciences leaders -- including founders, heads of R&D, venture capitalists, and pharmaceutical partnership executives -- to engage in thoughtful dialogue on the sector's top priorities.

This year, Incubate executive director John Stanford is moderating a panel discussion alongside former Senator Richard Burr (R-NC) and Flagship Pioneering senior partner Tom DiLenge to discuss "The View from D.C." -- how policy influences venture capital investments in the life sciences. The life sciences sector is actively involved in two key legislative initiatives: resisting Most Favored Nation (MFN) pricing proposals and promoting the bipartisan EPIC Act. The MFN approach, which links U.S. drug prices to those of other countries, threatens to restrict patient access and deter innovation by undermining investment incentives. In contrast, the EPIC Act seeks to eliminate the Medicare "pill penalty" -- a policy that has already redirected investment away from small molecule drugs, despite their proven therapeutic benefits and user convenience.
