This week, Incubate brought its voice to Capitol Hill, convening a fly-in with Patrick Jordan of NovaQuest Capital Management and Guarav Gupta of J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. to meet with key policymakers to discuss how federal policy can better support early-stage biopharmaceutical innovation and the venture capital ecosystem that drives it.
Incubate held strategic meetings with Senators John Cornyn (R-TX), Todd Young (R-IN), and Jon Husted (R-OH), as well as the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation Director Abe Sutton.
Incubate remains committed to educating lawmakers on the role policy plays in bringing breakthrough medicines from the lab to patients in need. The Ensuring Pathways to Innovative Cures (EPIC) Act, for example, would undo the pill penalty and restore investment incentives for all medicines, regardless of their molecular weight.
